Design & Origination
What do we
require from our clients to enable us to design and originate a
print job?
If the
product in question has been printed before, a clean sample would
suffice; or better and cheaper still, the original artwork, film
or disk from your previous printer. If the job has never been
printed before, a sketch of the layout required along with a typed
copy of any text matter and a clean sample of your logo will
do.
How do I
know John McCormick & Co Ltd will produce my job
correctly?
Prior to
production a proof will be supplied for your
approval.
Can I supply
my job on disk?
We can accept
the following in either Apple Mac or PC versions: -
- Adobe PageMaker
- Adobe Illustrator
- Micromedia Freehand
- Adobe PhotoShop
- Quark Xpress
- Acrobat Distiller
- Omnipage
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Publisher
Raw Material & Product
Brands
Can I
economise by changing the brand of paper or office supplies product?
As we all
know you only get what you pay for, however, some cost savings can
be made without substantially affecting the quality of product by
changing brands. Our staff can advise you of any possible
savings.
Is paper
environmentally friendly or should I consider recycled
materials?
It is in the
interest of paper manufacturers to ensure that they have a
sustainable source of raw material. For this reason trees used in
papermaking are farmed and several are replanted for each one cut
down.
Certain recycled materials are worth considering,
although bright white recycled papers often require chemical
cleaning to remove impurities during the papermaking process; it
could therefore be argued that certain recycled papers are not
particularly environmentally friendly.
Our staff will be
able to advise you on which materials are best suited to your
requirements.
Printing
How long
will my print order take to deliver?
It largely
depends on the complexity of the product in question. Simple jobs
may take a few days. Complex jobs can take several
weeks.
What is the
minimum print run we will undertake?
With our wide
range of traditional and digital printing equipment there is no
minimum print run. As a general rule, however, the larger the
print run that you can justify the more economical it will
become.
How does
John McCormick & Co Ltd guarantee the quality of the printed
product?
Our
consistently high quality standards are achieved by: -
- Maintaining control over every aspect of production by
producing every printed product in-house.
- Employing professional and well trained staff
- Utilising the experience gained with over 100 years of
